Groundworks Collaborative

Groundworks Collaborative provides services and housing for those who lack these basic necessities. In 2018 they decided to build a new 5,600 sf homeless shelter and support service space for their clients.

GPI was selected as Construction Manager, and working with the owner’s team and Duncan-Wisniewski Architecture, brought our expertise to the table to successfully complete this high performance elegant and thoughtfully designed structure. While making the project look good and the construction easy, it was filled with challenging details that ultimately proved the devil is in the details as the airtightness of the envelope achieved a rating more than twice as high as passive house standards.
