Brooks Memorial Library

The Brooks Memorial Library Building and Grounds committee hired GPI Construction as Construction Manager to perform renovations in the hallmark downtown library. Greenberg and Associates architects designed the renovations to eleven separate areas.

Highlights include snazzy new finishes in the Children’s Room to accentuate separate spaces for infants/toddlers and children. New dimmable LED lighting makes the space much more pleasant. A new Young Adult room provides a fun and active space. New Technical Services offices offer full facilities requirements for their staff. A custom fine arts storage room creates a space for the library’s large collection.

New meeting spaces and offices provide a more dynamic and user friendly library. And a redesigned reading room floor provides an open concept custom cherry reference desk and flowing tiled space along the front and side of the library for patrons to enjoy beverages while they are reading. Two new ADA restrooms are bright and colorful thanks to tiles and patterns picked out by the library committee.
